World Capital of Food?

London is among the most diverse and exciting places for food and drink in the world. It has over 12,000 restaurants, 6,000 cafes, and 5,200 bars and pubs representing some 50% of the entire national stock; 10% of the economic activity of the city is engaged in growing, processing, distributing, selling, cooking and consuming food or drink. Many first and second generation London families bring their cuisines, cultures and dietary preferences with them, in many cases as a form of employment or mode of commerce not just as a domestic need.

The Global Village

London is probably the closest to a Global Village of any city on earth, with its extraordinary range of languages, cultures and cuisines. While it is doing very well in accommodating to a multicultural society, it has not found a way to reconnect food producers and processors with food consumers.

Your Business

LFP will help your business be part of a dynamic London food sector. Click on LFP Hub, screen left, to see a detailed list of our products and services.

We can assist you both with food-specific requirements and general business needs. In our research we have identified ways of linking our "diagnostic" approaches, such that you benefit from a seamless support process from our specialist, and the portal itself.

Subscriptions and Beta-testers

If you are interested in subscribing to the site, LFP is offering up to 10 subscriptions at no cost to users until January 1, 2007, in return for providing feedback. You can see the range of tools on offer, or in development, at the LFP Hub. AFSIS™, the LFP Food Safety and Quality System, including extensive resources such as HACCP, is included in the subscription.

Click on the LFP Hub button on the screen-left navigation bar for a more detailed description of what is on offer. You can cancel your registration at any time.

Focus Group

We would also like to hear from SMEs interested in joining our focus group to enhance our capacity to meet specific SME needs that we may not yet have identified.
